ROTC/JROTC/MCJROTC Awards Program

 

American Legion ROTC/JROTC/MCJROTC Award for Scholastic Excellence
Given annually to an outstanding cadet (at each school) for scholastic excellence. Not more than one student at a school may be nominated per year for this award. Students participating in JROTC/MCJROTC programs conducted at high schools will receive the bronze medallion. To receive the award a cadet must:

  1. Be in the top 10 percent of his or her class in academic subjects.

  2. Be in the top 25 percent of his or her class in JROTC/MCJROTC subjects.

  3. Have demonstrated qualities of leadership.

  4. Have actively participated in related student activities such as student organizations,

    constructive activities, or sports.

 

American Legion ROTC/JROTC Award for General Military Excellence
Given annually to an outstanding cadet (at each School) for general military excellence. Not more than one student at a school may be nominated per year for this award. Students participating in JROTC/MCJROTC programs conducted at high schools will receive the bronze medallion. To receive the award a cadet must:

  1. Be in the top 25 percent of his or her class in academic subjects and JROTC/MCJROTC subjects.

  2. Have demonstrated outstanding qualities in military leadership, discipline, character, and

    citizenship.

Bronze medal is reserved for JROTC/MCJROTC Cadets and ROTC Freshmen (100 level). Silver medal is reserved for ROTC Sophomores (200 level).
Gold medal is reserved for ROTC Juniors (300 level) and ROTC Seniors (400 level).
