The American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic, mutual-help, war-time veterans organization -- a community-service organization which now numbers nearly 3 million members -- men and women -- in nearly 15,000 American Legion Posts worldwide. These Posts are organized into 55 Departments -- one each for the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, France, Mexico, and the Philippines.
Adams, Hanna, Moore Memorial Post 156 welcomes Veterans and active duty service members from all branches of our Armed Forces. If you served any time from December 7th, 1941 to present, we'd love to have you fill out an application! Joining our post enables you to continue serving your country and community. Our mission is to implement the goals, aspirations, dreams, peace and blessings for our country, friends and families embodied in the preamble to the Legion Constitution & ByLaws.
